Stress, tension and fatigue are part of our lifestyle and we must find ways to address them. Add to that injuries, accidents and other events and are bodies often take a beating. Chiropractic care plays an important roll in our health process.
Education
The typical student at a chiropractic college has already acquired nearly four years of pre-medical undergraduate college education. Once accepted into Chiropractic College students undergo a 4-year program comparable to Medical School. Because of the hands-on nature of chiropractic, and the art of mastering adjusting techniques, a significant portion of time is spent in clinical training. Chiropractic Students complete their internship while in College.
Doctors of Chiropractic are primary healthcare providers that practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care. This includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercise. Today’s Chiropractors have working relationships with other Medical Specialties, Rehabilitation Facilities and Diagnostic Testing when referrals are necessary.
Both Drs. attended Broward Community College and Florida Atlantic University for their undergraduate studies. They attended Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, Georgia, where they also completed their internship.
Causes of Spinal Problems
One-half of all working Americans admit to having back pain symptoms each year.
Back pain is one of the most common reasons for missed work. In fact, back pain is the second most common reason for visits to the doctor’s office, outnumbered only by upper-respiratory infections.
Car Accidents, stress, poor diet, improper lifting, repetitive motions poor sleeping positions can cause the spinal bones to lose their normal position and function.
Experts estimate that as many as 80% of the population will experience a back problem at some time in our lives.
Back pain is a warning sign that there is an underlying problem responsible for a symptom that will likely not go away. We are committed to finding the cause of the problem.
Chiropractic Treatment
Chiropractic spinal manipulation or adjustment is a safe and effective spine pain treatment. It reduces pain; improves joint mobility and nerve function. Chiropractic adjustments rarely cause discomfort. However, patients may sometimes experience mild soreness similar to that felt after exercise.
Our goal is to detect the underlying cause of your problem and put together a comprehensive plan to eliminate your problem. Our office offers a unique partnership between doctor and patient. We want patients to actively participate in their healthcare.
We utilize many different adjusting/manipulation techniques such as Gonstead/Diversified, Thompson, Activator, and SOT.
