Paleo “Anti-Inflammatory” Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk

1 cup water

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ – 1 teaspoon ground ginger, depending on your taste

½ – ¾ teaspoon ground turmeric, depending on your taste

Pinch of nutmeg

Pinch of sea salt

Dash of freshly ground black pepper

2 Tbsp raw cacao powder

Honey for a little added sweetness

 

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, gently heat the nut milk, water, spices, salt, and pepper.

2. Stir gently for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse. Add the raw cacao powder and stir until combined.

3. Add honey to taste.

4. Whisk gently or use a milk frothing tool to blend thoroughly.

5. Enjoy!
